As further evidence that the wellness industry owns one of the most innovative product segments within the global economy, Meridian Co., Ltd. (OTC BB:MRDAF.OB - News) ("Meridian" or the "Company") has been awarded a "Korean World-Class Product Award" for its Digital Pulse Analyzer (DPA) which measures the elasticity and estimated real age of human arteries with just a touch of a finger.
The award was recently presented to Meridian's founder, Hyeon Seong Myeong, by Korea's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy on behalf of the award sponsor, the Korea Industrial Technology Foundation (KOTEF).
"On behalf of everyone at Meridian, we are so pleased that the KOTEF has recognized the DPA as a World-Class product," said Myeong. "With products that focus on prevention of disease like the DPA and its component Heart Rate Variability software, medical professionals and wellness practitioners around the world now have a painless, simple and easily portable means to accurately measure their clients' risk for cardiovascular disease."
Two hundred products were initially selected from various industrial sectors based on recommendations by several Korean business associations. After an initial review, 75 products were selected for a third screen which yielded 27 products worthy of the World Class Award. Products from the major Korean manufacturers were also included. LG Electronics' high-definition disk player and SK's Lithium Ion Battery Separator (LIBS) were also selected.
As a KOTEF's awarded company, Meridian is qualified to participate in the World-Class Product Tradeshow and receive other forms of marketing support from the KOTEF. KOTEF sponsors the Korean World-Class Product Award competition every year to advocate innovative practices among industry technology innovators.
