WHAT DO YOU DO?
Cardio Centrix provides preventative health screenings that are fast, accurate, and non-invasive. Our screening helps you to detect your risk for stroke, heart disease and other conditions that may occur as a result of compromised cardiovascular system. Cardio Centrix mobile teams utilize FDA approved advanced Digital Pulsewave Analysis technology that has been proven to help identify underlying disease in seemingly healthy people. Early identification of disease allows your physician time to administer treatment prior to you ever experiencing a medical emergency.
I FEEL FINE. WHY WOULD I GET SCREENED?
Millions of Americans are unaware that they are at risk of a medical emergency or even death from vascular disorders because these disorders are generally symptomless until a catastrophic event occurs, such as strike. Early identification of underlying cardiovascular disease allows for numerous treatment options.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PREVENTATIVE SCREENING AND A DIAGNOSTIC SCREENING?
The purpose of preventative health screening is to identify abnormal conditions to that the client is aware of their condition and can take the appropriate steps to correct it. Preventative health screenings should be accurate, affordable, and accessible. Although no preventative screen is 100% accurate, preventative screenings should have very few false positives. A small percentage of false positives are acceptable as preventative screenings should always error on the side of caution.
A diagnostic test is an in- depth examination of the disease to find specifics, once it has been identified. These studies are generally and usually much more expensive and many are invasive.
ARE THESE TESTS PAINFUL?
No. This test is not at all painful. This test is topical, painless, non-invasive, and non-radioactive.
WHO PERFORMS THE TEST?
Cardio Centrix employs technicians that have completed a certification process and extensive training.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RESULTS?
Cardio Centrix will provide you with immediate results and full interpretation! Most screening companies take on average 21 days! This immediate information ensures instant notification in case of a serious health issue.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY RESULTS?
You will not receive simple "normal" / "abnormal" results. For each of 7 parameters screened, you will receive both numeric and image data along with interpretive results in each category. You will also receive the normal ranges for each category and suggestions to of how to improve your grade. This baseline information will provide you with the opportunity to not only be proactive with your health but to also re-screen to measure your progress!
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY RESULTS ARE ABNORMAL?
There may be small abnormalities that can readily be normalized with simple lifestyle changes and our Certified DPA Technician will explain them to you. In the event of a more serious abnormality you should share your results with your physician or in some cases your local hospital. They can use these results in conjunction with any other necessary testing deemed necessary.
WHY HAS MY DOCTOR NOT PRESCRIBED SUCH A TEST AS THIS?
Most insurance companies do not allow doctors to order screenings as a preventative measure, therefore your doctor will only order them if you are displaying outward symptoms. However, these diseases are often symptomless until a medical emergency occurs. Cardiovascular disease is REVERSABLE. Therefore, knowing your baseline grade as early as possible is crucial. It is recommended you receive a yearly screening.
I AM UNDER 50 YEARS OLD. WHY DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS TEST?
Cardiovascular disease does not discriminate based on age. Cardio Centrix can establish a baseline for your cardiovascular health and follow your health progression over time!
HOW LONG DOES THE TEST TAKE?
The actual screening takes less than 3 minutes. The interpretation will take between 10-15 minutes depending upon any questions you may have. We suggest you allow 15-20 minutes for the screening event.
DO I NEED ANYTHING SPECIAL TO PREPARE FOR THE EVENT?
Although not mandatory, we ask that you do not eat anything or drink caffeinated beverages 2 hours prior to the screening. We also ask that you consume no alcoholic beverage after midnight the night before.
WILL I HAVE TO DISROBE AT THE SCREENING?
No.
DOES INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF THE SCREENING?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of preventative screening at this time. Your results are not reported to any agency. The minimal cost of the screening is priced such that it is affordable for anyone. We are able to price the screening so affordably because of the low overhead and volume compared to what your doctor's office might charge.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes. You may schedule an appointment online, or call our office at 480-767-3227. We accept all major credit cards, check, or cash.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BE SCREENED?
This is a personal decision and generally depends upon family history, age, and the results of your initial screening. Cardiovascular diseases can be progressive and so at least an annual testing is recommended.
I HAVE A PACEMAKER. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN YOUR SCREENINGS?
Yes. A pacemaker will not interfere with your screening.
IF I HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK, STROKE, OR BYPASS SURGERY SHOULD I HAVE A SCREEN
We absolutely recommend screening to track the progression or regression of disease.
